During the last edition of the LFA in 2021, two Brazilian athletes will be the protagonists of the two main fights this Friday evening. In the main event, flyweight Mayra Cantuária competes for the vacant flyweight belt against Canada’s Jamey-Lyn Horth Wessels. At 32, Mayra Cantuária de Goiás has a record of nine wins, three losses, one draw and one unsuccessful fight in her career. Coming from six straight wins, the Brazilian will make his LFA debut. With stakes in SFT, Pancrase, Shooto and Jungle Wrestling, Cantuária has two wins by KO, three and four by submission by judges decision.

A year younger than the Brazilian, Canada’s Jamey-Lyn Horth Wessels is undefeated in her career, with four wins in four fights – three by knockout and one by submission. Another novelty of the LFA, Wessels participated in the Canadian event BFL (Battlefield Fight League). As an amateur, he has won all three fights he has had – among them, two against Mexican Lupita Godinez, currently at the UFC.
In the main co-event, 29-year-old middleweight from Minas Gerais, Bruno Assis, tries to end the invincibility of American Jalin Fuller. With 11 wins and five losses as a professional, Silva is a specialist in jiu-jitsu and has competed in events such as Jungle Fight, SFT, Titan, ACB Young Eagles, Brave and attempted to enter the UFC via the Contender series, but was defeated by another Brazilian Andre Sergipano.
