The Soyuz-ST-B launcher with two Galileo navigation satellites was successfully launched from the Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana. The launch was postponed twice due to weather conditions and the unavailability of the Guyana Space Center telemetry station.
The launch took place at 3:19 a.m. Moscow time. Upper stage “Fregat” with satellites successfully separated from the third stage of the rocket. The mission will last 3 hours 51 minutes.
Two Galileo FOC navigation satellites will enter the European Global Navigation Satellite System. It is designed to provide high precision positioning and navigation services.
