This second version of Accelerator 100+ in Chile seeks solutions from entrepreneurs working on water management, circular economy, new energies, efficient and clean logistics and other sustainability challenges.
Selected projects will be eligible for six months of acceleration, while there will be two winners of a fund of $ 10 million each and two places for the Accelerator 100+ Demo Day in Brazil with finalists around the world l ‘next year.

According to the organizers, after almost a month of launching the process which will be extended until December 16, applications have increased considerably compared to the 2020 version, also highlighting the quality of the projects to be evaluated.

Based on the experience of last year, we already had a sense of the talent that exists in Chile, but this time we find more and more sophisticated solutions and more robust business models, ”he says. The executive explains that Accelerator 100+ is an innovation platform that seeks to promote the progression of internal issues by supporting companies that solve challenges related to the company’s value chain.
The initiative was born in 2018 globally and has been implemented in 7 countries with Cervecería AB InBev, accelerating more than 35 startups this year alone globally. After a successful first release in Chile in 2020, this time, in addition to Socialab, and in order to strengthen the project, Coca-Cola joined the initiative.
“With Coca-Cola, we have new challenges to meet. Years ago, we incorporated a sustainability perspective into our strategy, realizing that it is the only way to do business. And although we have set ourselves ambitious goals, today, with the support of Socialab, we want to bring together projects that have a real and positive impact, that go beyond the limits of current processes, we must continue to build a brewery that brings people together for a better world, ”says José Antonio Alonso.
Startups can participate in the following categories; “Water management”, “Circular economy”, “Efficient and clean logistics”, “Smart agriculture” and “Use of new energies” and the finalists will be announced on December 24th.

Winners will be able to opt for a six-month acceleration with experts from Cervecería AB InBev, Coca-Cola and Socialab to seek association with the company’s value chain, as well as a Pitch Day with national business leaders and international from both companies.
Added to this are two winners of a fund of $ 10,000,000 pesos each and two places to attend the Accelerator 100+ Demo Day, which will be held in Brazil with some of the finalists from the region next year.

Five sustainable challenges with different goals
The first category, ‘Water Management’, is consolidated as the ideal opportunity for innovative companies to play a leading role in the implementation of solutions that reduce and optimize water consumption in large-scale operations.
For innovations looking for new ways to increase the amount of recycled content in packaging or greener alternatives for secondary and tertiary packaging, the category “Circular economy” it is designed for them. And for those who are leading the change towards more sustainable energies, they can do their thing in the section “New use of energies”, the new category that has been opened for this year.
The transport sector is one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, mainly from the combustion of fossil fuels. Breakdown and technology play an important role in the advances in this area. Those who have a lasting solution will be able to participate in “Efficient and clean logistics”.
Ultimately, “Smart agriculture” targets startups that contribute to the provision of nutritious, affordable and accessible inputs for all, enabling innovative farmers to connect with new visions and more sustainable ideas.

Tying Cabos: the 2020 winner driving at Cervecería AB InBev
Atando Cabos is a startup, more precisely a cleantech, whose mission is to clean up the world of plastic waste, reducing the amount of waste by manufacturing products 100% manufactured with recycled materials and by informing its exact designation of origin.
They were the winners of the Accelerator + 2020, hundreds of startups who applied, and they were able to develop their project. After their initial project, they are now studying the possibility of producing beverage transport boxes with reused material.
Today, they recycle more than 120 tons per month and are about to enter the Canadian and Dutch markets with their project, in addition to developing solutions for other industries in the field of agronomy, mining and construction.
