A list of the safest places to live in Canada has been released and the Tri-Cities made it into the top 20. The list compiles data from the Canadian Crime Index for 2022. They occur per 100,000 people in a given city.

The list was created with the intent of informing homeowners about safe cities to live in by breaking down crimes into categories such as burglary or impaired driving. It was created by people who work for Money.ca.

According to the list, the five safest cities in Canada to live in are:

  1. Toronto: 286.9 crimes per 100,000 residents.
