Pakistani-Canadian columnist, author and journalist Tarek Fatah died Monday at the age of 73. Actors Anupam Kher and Kangana Ranaut mourned his death and offered their condolences.
Actor Anupam Kher took to his Instagram to pay tribute to the late columnist. He wrote an emotional note for Tarek. Sharing a few pics, he wrote: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my boyfriend, a true Indian at heart, a fearless and kind hearted man @TarekFatah. His courage was contagious! His laugh was pure. We have met on many occasions. But to visit his home in Toronto and spend an afternoon with him over delicious food and amazing stories was very special. My condolences to his family and friends!”
Even Kangana Ranaut mourned his death. Taking to her IG stories, the actress wrote, “Sri Tarek Fatah was an outstanding thinker, writer and commentator. His significant contributions to the media and literary world will be fondly remembered. Throughout his life he remained committed to his principles and beliefs and was respected for his courage and conviction.”
“My thoughts are with his family, friends and admirers who will miss him dearly. I offer my deepest condolences on his passing and pray for the sadgati (liberation) of the deceased soul,” she added.
Fatah was an award-winning reporter, radio and television commentator.
