Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appears to be a closet swiftie after he tweeted an invitation to superstar Taylor Swift asking her to bring her Eras tour to Canada

Swift announced on Wednesday that she will be adding a further 14 concerts in Europe and the UK to her career-spanning concert series, with special guest Paramore.

No Canadian dates have yet been announced for Swift’s international tour, which will take her through Mexico, Europe, Asia and Australia over the next year.

Responding to Swift’s tweet, Trudeau paraphrased lyrics from her own songs and posted, “It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you around. So don’t let it be another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.”

Swift’s snub at Canada has made its way into the House of Commons, where Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux said last month he would make an “official” complaint “on behalf of all Swifties” in the country.

Neither Swift nor her management have addressed the decision to leave Canada.
