“I am in contact with the Vegas coaches. I have already adapted to Canada “

by Horace Rogers

Defenseman Artur Cholach, who was drafted by NHL Vegas and now plays in the OHL for Barry Colts, arrived at the site of the Ukrainian junior ice hockey team ahead of the World Championship.

The player has explained how his performance is going this season.

– In Canada, in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), you have been for three months. Have you adapted?

– The OHL is one of the strongest junior leagues in the world. Half of the players on each team are drafted by NHL clubs. There is a very serious level. It’s a colossal experience for me. The preseason training camp in September helped adjust to Canadian hockey. Now I feel comfortable in the new conditions.

– In total, you have already played 14 games in the OHL, scored one goal and made four assists. But not so long ago you fell from an injury.

– In the game against Sudberry Wolves, it seems in the third quarter that he had a shoulder to the head. As a result – a concussion and about three weeks before the game. But now I don’t feel any symptoms. I practice and play calmly.

– Are the coaches of the main Vegas team following you, contacting you in any way?

– Now, during the season, I communicate with the director of player development. We’re also in touch with the defenseman coach, with the scouts who come to Barry Colts games and communicate with me live, suggesting something to me.
