Health Canada has recalled various pacifier and teether accessories because they pose a choking hazard.

According to health officials, affected Souris Minis products can break and release silicone and wooden beads, which pose a choking hazard to babies and young children.

The recall includes nine Souris mini teethers and pacifier clips, Health Canada said in a statement released Tuesday.

The health agency says the recalled products, many of which feature animal faces, were made in China and 680 units were sold in Canada between August and April.

As of April, the company has received a report of a broken teether that caused the beds to come loose, but no injuries were reported.

Health Canada is urging consumers to “immediately” stop using the recalled products and discard them. If you have any questions about the affected products, you can contact Groupe Souris Mini Inc. based in Quebec.
