In the Canada hockey team, head coach Claude Julien was replaced before the start of the Beijing Olympics due to an injury he suffered, in his place the team was led by Jeremy Colliton , informed Hockey Canada Press Office.

Julien got injured while training at a training camp in Switzerland. The specialist slipped on the ice and broke his ribs in the fall. After a medical examination, it was determined that he could not fly to Beijing.

Colliton’s last job was with the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL), whose first team he led from 2018 to 2021.
