Government unveils entertainment for Canada Day 2023 event at LeBreton Flats

Canada’s “biggest annual party” is coming to LeBreton Flats Park for the second year running in 2024, with more than two dozen performers on stage in one day, Canadian Heritage announced Wednesday.

The free performances run from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm and then from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, followed by fireworks at 10:00 pm

The day’s events will highlight a range of themes including Canada’s diversity.

Hosted by radio and TV presenter Rebecca Makonnen, the morning show will begin with “a moment of Indigenous reflection” and will then feature the following artists:

  • Delhi 2 Dublin
  • Tyler Shaw
  • Josiane
  • diet
  • Katie Rock
  • Marie-Josee Dandeneau

In the evening, radio presenter Isabelle Racicot will present a two-hour show from 8 p.m. with live acts such as:

  • Roxane Bruneau
  • Aysanabee
  • France D’Amour
  • Preston Pablo
  • Les Louanges
  • Jojo Mason
  • dubmatic
  • dax
  • Clerel
  • Madison Violet
  • Josh Q
  • Josiane

CBC and Radio Canada will broadcast the event.

Canada Day fireworks, sponsored by Tom Hortons, begin at approximately 10 p.m. Organizers suggest that LeBreton Flats Park and the surrounding streets, which will be closed to traffic, should offer the best views.
