In the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season, the New York Rangers beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 on the road.
Russian Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin saved 31 of 32 shots and was named the game’s first star. The goalie played his second game this season and earned his first victory of the current regular season.
The second star was the author of the only puck in Montreal, Canadian forward Jonathan Drouen. Rangers forward Alexi Lafrenier, who scored the game-winning goal, rounds out the top three.
Among the winners, the goals were scored by Chris Crider, Lafrenier and Kevin Rooney. Russian striker Artemy Panarin collected an assist. Drouen scored the only goal for the Canadian team.
Russian defender Alexander Romanov was not marked by effective actions.
It was previously reported that Rangers win with Panarin pass.
