Germany in the economy: no longer a competitive place

Employer President Dulger calls for rapid action against economic decline. In the interview with FAZ, he takes the government seriously. Germany as an economic location no longer works.

Mr. Dulger, we are in a recession. Some warn against deindustrialization, others against harmful pessimism. Who is right?

Editor in charge of economic policy, responsible for “L’Ordre de l’Économie”.

I don’t see any harmful black paint. I see how Germany, as an economic location, is suffering, regressing and falling behind on the international scene. All European economies except ours will grow this year. This should give us food for thought. Our site still has solid foundations, but they are slowly collapsing because the government framework is not suitable. Hence my clear message: we must act now!
