Cooperativa Vinícola Garibaldi celebrates a new worldwide recognition of its products. This time, the distinction comes from the largest wine competition in North America and one of the main ones in the world, the Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada. The Rio Grande do Sul brand won a gold medal at the event with the Garibaldi Prosecco Rosé sparkling wine, standing out among 1,910 wines from 32 countries.
Held in the cosmopolitan city of Quebec, a province of Canada where French is the official language, the competition took place from October 7 to 10. The wines were tasted by a jury made up of 11 commissions of five people, respecting the international regulations of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) and Vinofed.
With the last medal obtained in the 28th edition of the Canadian competition, Garibaldi Prosecco Rosé cumulates his third distinction received this year alone – the others were in London, at the International Wine Challenge, and in Bourg, near the French region of Bourdeaux. , at the International Wine Challenge.
Garibaldi Prosecco Rosé is produced using the Charmat method and has a delicate pink color, with fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it shows an aromatic complexity, reminiscent of citrus fruits, strawberries and red flowers and, on the palate, it shows delicacy and smoothness, with balanced and refreshing acidity.
The next World Wine Selections Canada will take place from October 13 to 16, 2022.
