Clark was drafted first overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and made his debut in the 1985-86 season by scoring 34 goals and finishing third in the Calder Trophy pick as the NHL’s top rookie.

He played for the blue-and-whites for nine seasons before joining the Quebec Nordiques as part of the trade that brought Mats Sundin to Toronto in June 1994.

Clark’s stay in Quebec was short-lived, however, as he joined the New York Islanders ahead of the 1995-96 season.

He was traded back to the Maple Leafs the following off-season and played the following three seasons in Toronto.

He then spent a year with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Detroit Red Wingers before moving to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1999-2000. This season, he returned to the Maple Leafs for the third time.

Overall, Clark played 793 games in the NHL, scoring 330 goals, providing 234 assists and spending 1,690 minutes in the penalty box.

In addition, he appeared in 95 playoff games, scoring 37 goals, providing 32 assists and spending 201 minutes in the penalty box.

The Alamos Gold – Sports Dinner will include a prime rib meal, silent and live auctions, with Clark also speaking and participating in a question and answer session.

Tickets are $100 each and there will be 20 tables in total. Fans are therefore encouraged to bring a group of eight friends, family or teammates together to purchase a table of eight for $800.

The Legion and the Organizing Committee appreciate Alamos Gold’s participation as the title sponsor of the event.

It should be noted that there are other ways for sponsors to participate in the event.

All proceeds go to the Legion.

The number of tickets and places is limited. Tickets and more information will be available shortly as the panel is still working on some details.
