Extreme weather events cause landslides in western Canada

Rainstorm hit the province of British Columbia in western Canada on Monday (11/15).

The storm-triggered landslides, blocked roads, until the pipeline was closed to facilitate the evacuation of the entire city government.

In Vancouver, a large barges and sailboats run aground.

Some of the flood-affected areas reached 200mm on Sunday (11/14), and flooding continued on Monday, with a street covered in mud or water up to 250mm.

Strong winds are expected to hit the area and are likely to cause power outages, local authorities.

This storm is the second extreme weather disasters to hit the Pacific Province is only a matter of a few months. At the end of June, the temperature reached the highest point and the result in a fire which destroyed the city.
