(CNN) – Drake recently released his eighth studio album, and it’s apparently sparking some controversy.
English band, the Pet Shop Boys called out the Canadian singer on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday — the day Drake released his album “For All the Dogs.”
“Surprising to hear @Drake sing the chorus of ‘West End Girls’ in the track ‘All the Parties’ on his new album,” the band’s tweet reads. “No credit provided or permission asked.”
Towards the end of the track “Parties,” Drake actually sings the chorus of “West End Girls,” the Pet Shop Boys’ hit song from their 1986 album “Please.”
CNN has reached out to representatives for Drake for comment.
Earlier this year, Drake released a book of poetry called “Titles Ruin Everything.”
Along with the release also the Grammy winner announced He “made an album to go with the book… They say they miss the old Drake, girl, don’t tempt me. For all the dogs.”
Shortly after the release of the new album on Friday, he announced that he would be stepping away from the spotlight for an extended period of time to focus on his health.
On the “Table for oneSpeaking on SiriusXM’s “Sound 42” series Friday morning, he said, “I probably won’t be doing music for a while.”
“I need to focus on my health first and foremost,” Drake explained. “Nothing crazy, but I just want people to be healthy in life.”
