Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

The heat wave killed mussels on the coast of Vancouver, Canada. Researchers estimate that a billion marine animals have died from the heatwave at the end of June.

During a heat wave, temperatures in Vancouver can reach 40 degrees Celsius. In rocky coastal habitats, the temperature can reach 50 degrees Celsius.

Heat waves not only kill marine animals, but humans as well. The heat waves that worsen each year are affected by climate change.
