British actor Charlie Cox discovered a new reason to come to Canada during a visit to Toronto over the weekend.
Cox appeared alongside fellow “Daredevil” actor Vincent D’onofrio at Fan Expo Canada and took part in a panel discussion at the Metro Toronto Convention Center on Sunday, where the two answered a series of lightning-quick questions, including one about their favorite chip- preference .
Faced with a choice between ketchup and all-dressed chips, the two were stunned.
“What are all-dressed chips?” Cox asked the host, earning a shocked sigh from the audience. “Is that a Canadian thing?”
The two actors were then each given a bag to try.
Cox didn’t like ketchup chips.
“Whoever did that was wrong,” he said, shuddering.
D’onofrio, who is from the US, was more diplomatic.
“I’ll keep my comments to myself,” he said.

However, when Cox tried the all-dressed chips, he was clearly pleased.
“That’s great,” he said to loud cheers from the audience.
He stole the bag from D’onofrio and held it in the air to applause.
Due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, actors performing at the convention had to resort to unconventional topics of conversation as they tiptoed past mentions of past or upcoming projects.
Most voiced strong support for the ongoing strike over wages, streaming back payments and an attempt to stop studios from using actors’ and writers’ previous work to generate new material through AI without further developing it compensate.
