Canadian singer Celine Dion announced Friday the postponement of the European concert dates of her “Courage World” tour until 2023, due to her persistent health problems.

“I feel a little better…but I’m still having spasms,” Dion explained in a press release, where she informed her followers of the severe involuntary muscle twitches she began to feel at the end of the last year.

“I’m really sorry to have to change the European tour dates again, the first time was because of the pandemic, now it’s for my health,” said the 54-year-old singer.

“To get on stage, I have to be on top. To be honest, I can’t wait, but I’m not ready yet. (…) I’m doing everything to come back to 100% (…), because that’s what they deserve,” he said.

This tour for the Grammy winner is the first without her husband and manager René Angelil, who died of cancer in 2016.

Dion managed to give the first 52 recitals of her world tour before the onset of the covid-19 pandemic in early 2020. In January, she announced she was canceling the North American leg due to health concerns.

Speaking directly to his fans in an online video, his voice cracking with emotion, Dion thanked them for their understanding and support.

“The good news is that I’m a little better, but (recovery) is very slow and it’s very frustrating for me,” she said with tears in her eyes before heaving a sigh.

“I appreciate your loyalty,” he said.
