CSBK will expand to 24 episodes on TSN and RDS in 2024

Toronto, ON – The Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship will have its largest broadcast schedule yet in 2024, returning with TSN and joining RDS next season for a record-breaking 24 new episodes.

The national series began its partnership with TSN (The Sports Network) in 1994, joining Canada’s leading sports network and ESPN affiliate. As they prepare to celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2024, both sides will now expand their relationship to include special broadcasts for French-language broadcaster RDS in Quebec.

Launched in 1989 as a sister channel to TSN, RDS (Réseau Des Sports) will now prepare its own independent broadcasts of all twelve scheduled Superbike races for next season, with French-speaking speakers currently being sought.

“The Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship has proven to be a world-class circuit year after year,” said RDS Executive Producer Mathieu Jolivet. “Television viewers around the world now have access to a world-class product that showcases talent from across the country, particularly Quebec. We look forward to presenting these drivers and this series again on RDS in 2024!”

The expansion comes at a pivotal time in Quebec’s racing history, as the province continues to produce some of the series’ most notable stars, including professional champions Alex Dumas and Sébastien Tremblay, Superbike frontrunner Sam Guerin, amateur champion Mavrick Cyr and the teenage sensation Vincent Lalande, among others.

in 2024, TSN presented a record 21 original episodes of national action, including all ten Superbike races, all nine Sportbike races and two episodes of amateur support classes.

It is all but confirmed that the 2024 schedule will include 12 main Superbike races (shown on both TSN and RDS), with 12 additional Sport Bike broadcasts on TSN, bringing the total to 24 episodes.

A particular highlight of the 2023 broadcast success was the debut of announcer Marshall Ferguson – the popular CFL voice alongside Colin Fraser in the Superbike booth – and both are expected to return for all Superbike races on TSN in 2024.

Further information on the Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship’s expanded broadcast efforts will be announced in the coming weeks.
