Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau discussed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border. This is reported on website Canadian premiere.
Among the topics discussed by the two politicians are the “strengthening” of the Russian armed forces around Ukraine and “the continuation of aggression and destabilization of Russia”. Trudeau noted that the Kiev partners are coordinating to “resist Russian provocation.”
The Canadian Prime Minister also stressed the need for de-escalation and promised the Ukrainian leader to support the preservation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Previously, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said the international community was working on a “containment package” in the event of a Russian attack. He noted that the package is being developed in three directions and stressed that it is first of all important to make Moscow understand that a military operation on the territory of Ukraine will have irreparable consequences for it.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia has not prepared, is not preparing and will not prepare any offensive against anyone.
