Canadian music icon Tom Cochrane drives down the Okanagan Highway

A Canadian rock music icon is making a stop in Vernon.

Tom Cochrane, crooner of hits like “Life is a Highway” and “I Wish You Well,” will perform at the Vernon Performing Arts Center on Monday, November 13th.

The 70-year-old will perform numerous intimate theater performances across British Columbia, with special guest Ryan McMahon.

The Lynn Lake, Manitoba local is a recipient of eight Juno Awards, a Grammy nominee, a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Famer and a member of the Canadian Walk of Fame.

His album “Mad Mad World” remains one of the best-selling albums in Canadian music history and received rare diamond certification status due to hits such as “No Regrets,” “Washed Away,” “Sinking Like a Sunset” and “Life is a Highway.” remained number one in Canada for six weeks, peaked at number six on the North American Billboard Hot 100 and gained international recognition.
