An Indian-born Canadian parliamentarian, Chandra Arya, said Wednesday that anti-Hindu and anti-Indian forces have joined Canada.

The Canadian parliamentarian, who hails from Karnataka, made the remarks about an offensive poster by filmmaker Leena Manimekalai of the Hindu goddess Kaali that sparked outrage and condemnation across the country.

“Painful to see Kaali poster by filmmaker Leena Manimekalai. Over the past few years, traditional anti-Hindu and anti-Indian groups in Canada have joined forces, resulting in Hindu-phobic articles in the media and attacks on our temples,” Chandra Arya said on his social media account.
