Canada’s Kevin Koe comes from behind to win the Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Championship

Kevin Koe has done it again.

The Canadian scored a 5-4 win over Yannick Schwaller of Switzerland in Toronto on Sunday to win the Players’ Championship – his fifth Grand Slam of Curling title as Skip.

The 48-year-old Koe lost 4-2 in the eighth end with a shot to go and time ticked off but he pulled off a triple takeout for the thrilling comeback win at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Koe’s rink in Calgary features leader Karrick Martin, second Brad Thiessen and third Tyler Tardi.

Wild last-second shot earns Team Koe Players’ Championship Curling title

Kevin Koe and his rink clinched a Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Championship title with a last-minute shot to victory in Toronto on Sunday, defeating Team Schwaller 5-4.

Koe made a similar comeback on Saturday, edging out fellow Canadian Brad Gushue in a battle against the clock. Koe landed at the top with a 7-6 win after falling 6-4 down before his final shot.

In the final of the women’s championship, Swedish skipper Isabella Wrana claimed her first title at the event, beating Swiss Silvana Tirinzoni 6-5.
