From the September 7, Canada will reopen its borders to all travelers who have received one of the Canadian government’s approved covid-19 vaccines, the country’s government reported today.

The vaccines approved by the Canadian government are Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca / COVISHIELD and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).

Initially, the governments of Canada and United States they announced that their borders will open from August 9 so that U.S. citizens and permanent residents of that country can travel to Canada, provided they have been vaccinated at least 14 days prior.

A month later, on September 7, the Canadian government will expand this opening for all travelers in the world who have already received their full dose of covid-19 vaccine.

All travelers must use the app ArrivalCAN (both in your app and on your website) to download all travel information, including your immunization schedules. Once the Canadian government has validated the information, travelers will not have to go through quarantine upon arrival.

In addition, the Canadian government will increase the number of airports that international flights can reach. So far, only four hubs can do this in the cities of Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

Since August 9, the airports of Halifax, Quebec, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Edmonton will also be able to receive international flights.
