Canada 1 Year Sale August 31

The first Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society Yearling Sale, to be held August 31 at Woodbine, has attracted over 200 entries and will include yearlings from 67 different stallions. The top five Ontario sires of 2021 represented for sale include Silent Name (Jpn), Souper Speedy, Old Forester, Society’s Chairman and Reload. Also in the catalog are yearlings from the first crop of catholic boy, FlameawayHeart to Heart and Yoshida (Jpn), as well as second crops of Always dreamingGizmo friends, army mule, CollectionDanish Dynaformer, Ransom the Moon and Seattle Serenade.

“This sale attracted yearlings from a wide range of proven and up-and-coming stallions,” commented Peter Berringer, President of CTHS (Ontario Division). “Ontario purebred and sired Thoroughbreds continue to be successful here in Ontario and across North America. With the lifting of pandemic restrictions and the opening of borders, we hope that our buyer base will be strengthened this year.
