Burger King is renovating Canada’s first-ever restaurant in Windsor, Ontario.

Redberry Restaurants completely remodeled the very first Burger King in Canada, which opened in Windsor in September 1969.

Red fruit restaurants recently celebrated the grand reopening of Canada’s first-ever Burger King restaurant in Windsor, Ontario. Located at 2850 Tecumseh Road. E, this inaugural venue opened in September 1969 and has recently been completely renovated to include a new interior, an exterior digital menu board in the drive-thru and a modern new exterior. The overall design is focused on flexibility, innovation and convenience to enhance the customer experience, a press release says.

“This is a special location for Burger King and Redberry, and we are extremely proud of the work that has gone into this renovation,” said Matt Wright, General Manager of Burger King Canada. “Customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do, and this design concept considers how our customers interact with Burger King, making the ordering and dining experience easier and more enjoyable. .”

This quirky restaurant is one of eight Redberry-owned Burger Kings in the Windsor area and one of 30 locations being redesigned by Redberry across the country in 2022 and 2023. These renovation plans are part of the area development agreement between the companies to build more than 150 new restaurants and remodel nearly 65 locations over the next six years.

“Redberry is excited to accelerate both new unit growth and brand renovations. This remodel is very close to our hearts,” said Ken Otto, CEO of Redberry. “As the very first Burger King in Canada, it was extremely important for us to make this renovation a success. There have been many memories over the years [there]and this renovation prepares the restaurant for years of future enjoyment.

By the end of 2022, Redberry will have opened more than 30 new restaurants and remodeled nearly 20 locations over the past four years.
