Brousseau equals record for most medals won at Canada Summer Games

According Radio-Canada News On Wednesday, swimmer Julie Brousseau of Ottawa, Ont. tied the record for the most medals won at a Canada Games with 11. The previous record was set by Hanna Henderson of Mississauga, Ont., who won 11 medals at the 2017 Canada Games in Winnipeg. It should be noted that while Niagara Falls is hosting the 2022 Canada Games, the swimming portion of the multi-sport event was held in St. Catharines at Brock University, 17 minutes northwest of Niagara. Brousseau won six gold medals, a silver medal and four bronze medals last week. Team Ontario currently leads the Canada Summer Games medal standings with 119 medals (49 gold, 35 silver and 35 bronze). They sit comfortably in first place in the medal standings, having 36 more medals than British Columbia, which sits in second place with 83 medals.
