President Joe Biden is planning a face-to-face summit with his North American counterparts, Mexican Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
According to agency information ReutersBiden plans to hold this meeting the week of November 15 in Washington and it would be the first such meeting in five years.
Sources from Mexico and Canada also confirmed the intention of a meeting, however, they requested anonymity, noting that the plans were not yet public or fully confirmed.
Although the leaders have met virtually on several occasions, this would be the first time the three have met; Moreover, the summit coincides with the tensions which are living on the questions of energy, trade and migration; as well as with the reopening of borders.
Since 2005, the three countries had organized the Three Friends Summit, but it ended when Donald Trum took power.

Last year, the Mexico-US-Canada treaty, which replaced NAFTA, also entered into force.
In addition, this Tuesday AMLO assured compatriots in the United States that he would return to the country soon and promised to discuss the regularization of migrants with Biden.
This Tuesday, the president participated in the United Nations (UN) Security Council in New York.
