Bell receives Canada’s Fastest Mobile Network award from PCMag for the third year in a row

MONTREAL, September 20, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – Bell today announced that its wireless network has been awarded the fastest in Canada for the third consecutive year in PCMag’s Fastest Mobile Networks in Canada in 2022 report, the annual study of mobile network performance across the country. The report also ranks Bell’s 5G network as the fastest in the country, scoring the fastest in 22 of 31 cities and rural areas tested.

In its 10th annual test of Canada’s fastest mobile networks, PCMag’s wireless technology experts traveled across Canada, covering 31 cities and rural areas to test the speed and network coverage of Canada’s leading wireless brands. . PCMag’s comprehensive analysis took place in August and September and ranked providers based on a weighted average of download speeds, upload speeds and latency.

Extension of 5G+ and 5G networks
Earlier this summer, Bell announced the availability of 5G+ service in the south Ontario. Today, Bell is extending its service to more communities across the province. Available today in hamilton, MarkhamMiddlesex Centre, North Dumfries, Whore and Thames Centre, Bell 5G+ should be faster and more responsive, enabling a superior mobile experience. Bell will continue to expand 5G+ across the country and is on track to provide coverage to approximately 40% of the Canadian population by the end of 2022.

Bell also continues to expand its 5G service, with availability in all 10 Canadian provinces. Today, Bell is expanding to 84 additional communities in alberta, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Scotland, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
