Canada unveiled its 22-man roster for the upcoming 2023 World Junior Championship on Monday.
The event takes place in Halifax and Moncton and begins on its traditional Boxing Day start date. Canada opens the tournament against Czech Republic.

Connor Bedard, Ethan Del Mastro, Nathan Gaucher, Zack Ostapchuk, Brennan Othmann, Joshua Roy, Logan Stankovenand Olen Zellweger return of the Canadian team which won gold in August at the world junior championships.
Attackers Owen Beck, Zachary Bolduc, Jordan Dumais, Ryan Green, Riley’s Kidneydefenders Carson Lambos, Evan Nausea, Ethan Samsonand goalkeepers Tyler Brenan and William Rousseau were Canada’s final cuts.
The team’s star-studded roster includes three players on loan from NHL teams to Seattle forward Kraken Shane WrightArizona Coyotes forward Dylan Guentherand defenseman for the Los Angeles Kings Brandt Clark.
Connor Bedard and Adam Fantilli, the top two picks in the 2023 NHL Draft, are also expected to play a big role.
The Junior World Championships will take place from December 26 to January 5.
