A bar’s patio in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains has been named the best in Canada.
Rundle Barlies in the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, won that Award for the best terrace 2024 out of Canada’s 100 Best.
“The view from the terrace of the Rundle Bar at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, the so-called Castle in the Rockies, is spectacular,” says the website.
“With uninterrupted views of Sulfur Mountain and the jagged peaks of Mount Rundle, the terrace’s scenic panorama changes with the seasons, from a snow-capped winter wonderland to a lush green valley sparkling with brilliant turquoise glacial pools.”
The bar drinks are praised for being just as stunning as the views.
“Try the house sangria, a summer snack that pours nature right into your glass. He blends wine with Spirit Lake Tea made from white pine, sage and sweet grass, all ethically made by the indigenous people of Banff National Park,” he tells Die website.

“Over the last two years, my role has allowed me to experience an unparalleled sense of community, and this award is a testament to the commitment and passion that thrives in the Canadian Rockies,” he said.
“We are deeply honored to be recognized among Canada’s best.”
The two-story Rundle Bar received a modern makeover in 2020, but the outdoor patio “retained its original, stately charm,” officials say.
