Archaeologists from Canada, Germany and the Netherlands, led by Michael dee from the University of Groningen analyzed wooden objects found in the Viking settlement of L’Anse aux Meadows. The biogeochronological marker made it possible to determine their exact age – the isotopic trace of a solar storm that occurred in 992 AD.
