Anna Kendrick had to be rescued by ‘lovely Canadian firefighters’ after she got stuck in an elevator at the Toronto International Film Festival

A group of Canadian firefighters had to rescue Anna Kendrick and her crew after getting stuck in an elevator, the ‘Pitch Perfect’ actress recently revealed.

According to Kendrick, she and several others got stuck in the elevator en route to an event at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

“I got in the wrong elevator at the wrong time,” she said People in an interview published on Sunday. “I got out. Lovely Canadian firefighters got me out the top of the hatch. But, yeah, there were seven of us in an elevator just waiting to be rescued by the firefighters.”

“It was so absurd that it happened on a cinematic press tour that it immediately seemed comical,” Kendrick said. added.

The “Twilight” star also shared video clips of the incident on his Instagram page. In one, Kendrick jokes with the rest of his team that they have to “ration” their “limited food supply”. In another clip, the actress holds the camera up to her face and says, “I’m just vibrating in this elevator.”

Later clips show firefighters opening the top hatch of the elevator and lowering a ladder. After several members of her team came out on top, Kendrick herself was helped up the ladder by firefighters and her hairstylist, Craig.

Kendrick’s post ends with several photos of her and the firefighters, taken after everyone was evacuated from the elevator.

The actress was at the festival to promote her new movie “Alice Darling”, which also stars Wunmi Mosaku, Charlie Carrick and Kaniehtiio Horn.
