Transfer News: There is news that Toronto FC are not just looking to sign Lorenzo Insigne, but Andrea Belotti could join the Napoli captain in MLS as well.
Much like Insigne, Belotti’s contract with Torino will soon expire next summer.
Although drawn to a number of other big Serie A clubs, even in Europe, Andrea Belotti has great potential to land in Major League Soccer, especially in Canada, after Lorenzo Insigne.
The Italy striker struggled to strike a deal with Napoli to extend his contract, and Toronto offered an exorbitant salary offer.
According to news from the transfer agent Sky Sport Italy, Gianluca Di Marzio, Andrea Belotti are also on the list of targeted players for Toronto FC.
Negotiations for a contract extension with Turin have also run into a problem, and the 28-year-old forward will be on a free transfer soon this summer.
Toronto in itself is not a foreign place for Italian players, as Sebastian Giovinco triumphed there.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Insigne will get a five-year contract with a base salary of 11 million euros per season, and a potential bonus of 4.5 million euros.
For Belotti, the rumors are still in their infancy, but are clearly far superior to what Granata are offering for their current contract extension, which is € 3million per season.
