LFA 120: The Canadian subdues the Brazilian and wins the flyweight belt | fight

The LFA 120 was held this Friday in Minnesota, United States, and had as its main draw a fight for the flyweight title of the event. In the duel between Brazil and Canada for the belt, which was vacant, better for the Canadian Jamey-Lyn Horth Wessels, who took the victory.

Mayra Cantuária had just achieved six straight MMA victories, a streak that saw her make her direct debut in a title fight against Jamy-Lyn Horth Wessels. The Canadian was better for most of the fight and ended up deciding the fight in the third round, when she applied a bare back choke, forcing her opponent to give up.

The other Brazilian in action at the event was Bruno Assis. The middleweight made his debut and faced American Jalin Fuller. Assis struggled in the first round, when he was almost knocked out, but he reacted and improved from there, nearly getting the submission twice. His opponent resisted, but the Brazilian took the win by unanimous decision.
