Among these attractive prospects, one stands out as the question I have been asked the most: “What kind of scholarships can I get?” While the nature and specifications of the options for Canada scholarship programs are diverse, there are certain prerequisites that interested students must meet before applying. Everyone wants a scholarship, but not everyone can be successful.
So how do you gain an advantage over the competition? Three words: quality before quantity.
Scholarship committees look for students who have a consistent and dedicated work record. Sticking to a community initiative whose cause is relevant to you and your values for a longer period is more meaningful than several short stints with a multitude of NGOs that you have no connection with.
Over the years, I have noticed that it is about constant academic performance and school involvement, community work that stems from a place of empathy and a desire to give back, a solid grasp of writing and communication skills, additional tests like the Olympics and SATs, and sincere letters of recommendation that show a healthy relationship with faculty and peers that provide decent support to students.
So when these areas are all covered, what Canadian scholarships or grants can an Indian student apply for?
Lester B. Pearson International Fellowship Program
This program is awarded annually by the University of Toronto which aims to recognize art students who have outstanding academic achievement and leadership qualities. Each year, around 37 students are chosen for this award.
Eligibility
The candidate must be an international high school student with a study permit and willing to begin undergraduate studies in the following academic year. To become a Pearson Fellow, you must be nominated by your school.

Scholarships for tuition, books, incidentals, and full residency support for up to four years.

The provisional deadlines are as follows:

Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow (ILOT) Award
The International Leader of Tomorrow Award is open to all international undergraduate students who have a successful academic record, leadership skills, regular involvement in student affairs and community service, and recognized achievement in other key areas.
Eligibility
The candidate must enter the University of British Columbia (UBC) at a recognized high school and apply for their first undergraduate degree at UBC. The candidate must also demonstrate a level of financial need that would otherwise prevent them from pursuing studies at UBC.

The value of the scholarship is relative to the financial needs of the student decided by taking into account the tuition, fees and living expenses, and subtracting the financial contribution of the student and the family.
The scholarship can be renewed for up to three additional years of undergraduate study, provided that satisfactory academic performance is achieved, continued financial need is maintained, and the Canadian study permit (student visa) is maintained.

Carleton University Entrance Scholarships for International Students
Carleton offers partial scholarships to exemplary students who meet the admission average criteria of 80% and above.
Eligibility

Applicants with an Admission Average (AA) of 95% and above receive an annually renewable scholarship of $ 4,000 each year for four years. Likewise, applicants with an AA of 90-94.9%, 85-89.9%, and 80-84.9% receive $ 3,000, $ 2,000, and $ 1,000, respectively, each year for four years. The scholarships will be renewed if the student maintains an annual average of 10.0.

York University International Scholarships
York University offers the Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships and International Admission Scholarships specifically for international students seeking a full-time undergraduate degree in the following faculties: Arts, Media, Performance, and Design; Environmental studies; Education; Health; Lassonde School of Engineering; Liberal arts and professional studies; Science; or the Schulich School of Business
Eligibility
To be considered for major international scholarships, the applicant must enter York University for the first time with a valid study permit. The candidate must have an excellent academic record with a minimum GPA or equivalent and demonstrated leadership through community service or excellence in the arts, sports or other areas of individual achievement. In addition, he / she must be nominated by his / her secondary school.

Five entrance scholarships, valued at $ 10,000 each, are awarded annually to outstanding Indian students entering the first year of an undergraduate program at Queen’s. An app is not required.
Ryerson International Excellence Scholarship for High School
Seven entrance scholarships, valued at $ 5,000 each, are awarded each year to international students entering Canada with a study permit. A separate application is not required for the scholarship.
With these scholarships offered and the availability of part-time jobs on and off campus, the financial pressure on a student decreases to a great extent and makes Canada a promising study abroad destination for a hard-working Indian student. .
