Russian figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva explained how her illness prevented her from preparing for the Sochi Grand Prix. The words of the athlete are reported by the correspondent of Gazeta.Ru.

“I got sick a week ago, and it muddied the preparation a bit, but I’m happy with today’s rental – I really enjoyed it. This is due to the fact that there was such warm support that the audience warmly greeted all the girls. The energy was great and it gives us the strength not to get tired at the end of the program. Well, let’s also check in an arbitrary program how much that helps (laughs).

What did you work on after the Canadian Grand Prix? After the Canadian Grand Prix, I got sick (laughs). Okay, no. We worked on everything we could. The task was – to recover well, not to lose shape, because it is difficult to walk at your peak all the time, and it is important to correctly build the training process so that the best form is in competition.

We made the free skate a bit more complicated, added a 3 + 3 waterfall. Maybe you will see it tomorrow. But the pause after Canada was not long enough to do anything on a large scale, ”Tuktamysheva said.
