The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the New York Giants 17-7 on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the main reason for that was the running ability of Bengals running back Chase Brown of London, Ontario. Brown had 10 rushes for 53 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also had two catches for 11 yards. Brown’s touchdown came with one minute and 52 seconds left in the fourth quarter. The touchdown was crucial as the Bengals only led the Giants by a field goal before the big score.
This season, Brown recorded 51 rushes for 283 rushing yards and three touchdowns, as well as 12 catches for 50 receiving yards and another key score in six games. In Brown’s career, he had 95 rushes for 462 rushing yards and three touchdowns and 26 catches for 206 receiving yards and two touchdowns. It’s interesting that Brown had just one touchdown in 12 games last season and now has four touchdowns in six games this season.
With the win, the Bengals improved to a record of two wins and four losses. Their only other win this season came on September 29th in a 34-24 Bengals victory over the Carolina Panthers. In that game, Brown had two rushing touchdowns for one and three yards.
