A day after shots were reportedly fired outside his residence in Canada, Indian-born Canadian artist AP Dhillon assured fans of his safety and thanked them for their support.
According to media reports, an alleged contribution from Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for the incident.

Popular Punjabi singer Dhillon, who lives in Vancouver, shared a message on his Instagram Stories on Monday night following the alleged shooting.
“I am safe. My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who got in touch. Your support means everything. Peace and love to all,” he wrote.
The incident came weeks after Dhillon appeared alongside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the music video for his song ‘Old Money’. In April, shots were also fired outside Khan’s apartment in Mumbai and the actor told police he believed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was responsible.
Dhillon is a rising global star in the hip-hop scene with songs like “Brown Munde,” “Excuses” and “Summer High.”
The 31-year-old musician, whose real name is Amritpal Singh Dhillon, moved from Gurdaspur to Canada in 2015 for his post-graduate studies in business administration and management.
Last year, Prime Video released a documentary series about his journey called AP Dhillon: First of A Kind.
