In a thrilling match at the Guadalajara Open, 19-year-old Canadian tennis player Marina Stakusic showed her resilience and talent by defeating top seed Elena Ostapenko in a hard-fought battle. Stakusic’s remarkable performance saw her recover from a 4-0 deficit in the third set and fend off four match points to secure a 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (0) victory.

Looking back on her victory, Stakusic expressed her satisfaction with the result and described the match as a rollercoaster of emotions. Although she missed a chance to close the match in the second set, she remained determined and eventually emerged victorious, setting herself up for a quarterfinal match that she is eagerly anticipating.
