Gabriela Dabrowski is in the Grand Slam doubles final for the seventh time in her career. The 32-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, has teamed up with Erin Routliffe of New Zealand in the women’s doubles final at Wimbledon. The second-seeded player will face fourth-seeded Taylor Townsend of the USA and Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic.
Dabrowski and Routliffe have already won the 2023 US Open together. At Wimbledon in the last two weeks, they defeated Mirra Andreeva and Anastasia Potapova of Russia 6-2, 7-5 in the first round, Irina Khromacheva and Kamilla Rakhimova of Russia 7-6, 3-6, 7-5 in the second round, Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine and Elena-Gabriela Ruse of Romania 6-3, 6-1 in the third round, eighth-seeded Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic and Laura Siegemund of Germany 6-4, 6-7, 6-4. Krejcikova won the women’s singles at Wimbledon on Saturday. As the 31st seed, she defeated seventh-seeded Jasmine Paolini of Italy 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. In the women’s semifinals, Dabrowski and Routliffe defeated seventh-seeded Americans Caroline Dolehide and Desirae Krawczyk 6-4, 6-3.
Dabrowski has also won two mixed doubles titles. She won the 2017 French Open with India’s Rohan Bopanna and the 2018 Australian Open with Croatia’s Mate Pavic. Dabrowski reached the mixed doubles final and lost at the 2018 and 2019 French Open, and the women’s doubles final and lost at Wimbledon 2019.
