Team Canada wins 4 medals at the Synchronized Swimming World Championships Superfinal

Team Canada enters the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris in synchronized swimming with considerable momentum. Last weekend in Budapest, Hungary, Team Canada won four medals at the Synchronized Swimming World Cup Superfinal.

The Canadian team won the gold medal in the women’s duet freestyle. Jacqueline Simoneau of Chambly, Quebec, and Audrey Lamothe of Montreal, Quebec, finished first with 272.6457 points. The Israeli duo of Shelly Bobritsky and Ariel Nassee won the silver medal with 243.9042 points. Yanhan Lin and Yanjun Lin of China won the bronze medal with 239.187 points. The Canadians reached the podium with 65.374 points. The Italian duo of Sarah Maria Rizea and Flamina Vernice finished fourth with 207.4083 points.

Canada also won the silver medal in the team acrobatics competition with 194.4867 points. The United States won gold with 229.0367 points.

Canada also won the bronze medals in the team technical events and the team free art. In the team technical art, Canada scored 247.6337 points. They were behind the United States with 285.1667 points and Mexico with 281.55 points. In the team free art, Canada scored 281.3626 points. They were again behind the United States with 346.6104 points and Mexico with 335.6398 points.
