The Edmonton Oilers are in Game 7 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final. On Friday, the Oilers defeated the Florida Panthers 5-1 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, to even the best-of-seven series at three games.

Five Canadians scored points for the Oilers. They were Warren Foegele of Markham, Ontario, Adam Henrique of Brantford, Ontario, Zach Hyman of Toronto, Ontario, Ryan McLeod of Mississauga, Ontario and Darnell Nurse of Hamilton, Ontario. Foegele was the only Oiler with a multi-point game, as he had a goal and an assist for two points. Henrique scored the game-winning goal in the 46th second of the second period, off Mattias Janmark and Mattias Ekholm, giving the Oilers a 2-0 lead at that point. McLeod and Nurse both scored into the empty net.

The Oilers are one win away from becoming the first Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup since the Montreal Canadiens in 1993. The Oilers are also trying to become the first team since the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942 to lose the first three games of the Stanley Cup Final before winning the next four. The Canadiens defeated the Los Angeles Kings to win the Stanley Cup in 1993 and the Maple Leafs defeated the Detroit Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup in 1942. Game 7 is Monday in South Florida.
