Jasmine Jasudavicius of Niagara Falls, Ontario delivered the most dominant women’s victory in Ultimate Fighting Championship history. She achieved this feat on Saturday at UFC 297 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. Jasudavicius defeated Priscila Cachoeira of Brazil in a stunning performance. The Canadian had 326 hits, the Brazilian had 26 hits. According to Mike Johnston, it was the first time a female ultimate fighter had 300 more punches than her opponent in a single fight Rogers Sportsnet.
For Jasudavicius, who fights in the women’s bantamweight division, she was able to earn a third-round victory via submission. In the second round, Jasudavicius prevailed with a knockout blow to the head that gave the Canadian significant momentum.
Jasudavicius has a mixed martial arts career record of 10 wins and three losses. In the ultimate fight she currently has four wins and two defeats. At the Ultimate Fighting Championship level, Jasudavicius has also defeated Kay Hansen of the United States on January 22, 2022, Gabriella Fernandes of Brazil on February 25, 2023 and Miranda Maverick of the United States on June 10, 2023.
In total, two Canadians won a mixed martial arts fight at UFC 297 in Toronto. The other was Gillian Robertson of Niagara Falls, Ontario, who defeated Polyana Viana of Brazil in the strawweight division.
