As temperatures drop and everyone prepares for the first snowfall, Canada’s largest ski and snowboard show returns to the GTA.
The Toronto Ski & Snowboard Show, taking place October 27-29 at the International Center in Mississauga, marks the start of the winter sports season for many. For enthusiasts looking to see the latest equipment and trends, or beginners taking their first ride down the mountain, there is something for everyone at the event.
“People are eager to hit the slopes this year,” Paul Pinchbeck, CEO of the Canadian Ski Council, said in a media release. “We’re excited to offer new features and experiences that make this show the ultimate celebration of winter sports.”
This is the 49th edition of the event. Numerous exciting guests and events are planned for this occasion, including:
• Canadian Olympians Dara Howell and Evan McEachran and junior world champion Charlie Beatty will meet with participants and sign autographs over the weekend.
• Legendary skier Dan Egan, a pioneer of extreme sports, will be the weekend’s keynote speaker.
• Attendees can watch an exclusive screening of “The Land of Giants,” showcasing the extraordinary performances of the world’s best skiers.
• The Canadian Ski Patrol is hosting its largest ski and snowboard swap this weekend. There are over 2,000 new and used skis, boards, shoes and accessories available for purchase. Every purchase supports Canadian Ski Patrol training programs.
• Guests also have a chance to win a five-day RV vacation to explore Canada at their own pace in an RV, courtesy of CanaDream.
