Career Changer Finds Happiness in Arosa

by Edie Jenkins

The new co-manager of the hotel Arosa Vetter would like to live in Canada, must laugh at clumsiness and has a slight obsession with order.

What I like most about my job:
The variety of activities, especially those on a personal level

My three most important job skills:
Empathy, always listening and organizational talent

I’m good at this:
I can always see the positive in difficult situations.

This person inspires me:
My former boss Miriam Mettier

My best vacation experience:
A fishing trip off Vancouver Island with four local anglers I met there

I would like to live here:
Canada

What I like the most about me:
I’m good at laughing at myself.

My worst quirk:
I have a slight obsession with order.

My motto:
“Life is short begins with dessert.”

My idea of happiness:
A hot bath, a cooler and a good book

This makes me cry:
When it comes to romantic movies, nothing stops me.

It makes me laugh:
Awkward behavior

I dream of:
From a little house of mine in Arosa

I can’t stand this sound:
When someone drags their feet on the ground

My latest discovery:
Somersby Watermelon – a watermelon flavored cider

My biggest misstep:
I flooded the widow with Coca-Cola at a funeral.

My favorite swear word:
“Whore”

I will never forget this:
Vancouver Island Fluorescent Water

I always have in the fridge:
A shandy

I could never eat this:
Small animals like rabbits

My last good deed:
To console my girlfriend, I carried a shoe closet up several floors.
