Pastry franchise BeaverTails has officially opened six new locations across Ontario. The new restaurants are located in Halton Hills, Milton, Burlington, Waterloo and two in Mississauga.

The brand began a strategy in early 2020 to open “community” stores – new locations primarily in suburban malls. According to a company press release, this will “make the…experience more accessible to people in neighborhoods — including the sale of.” Brownie Pies and Beaver Bites, take-out meals to be shared at home at a later date.”

“Building on our 45-year history, we work hard to keep the BeaverTails brand relevant and attractive to our customers,” said Pino Di Ioia, CEO of BeaverTails. “More recently, our ‘community’ store approach aims to bring the magic of BeaverTails to where our customers live, work and shop.”

“BeaverTail’s ‘target stores’ including Grouse Mountain, Banff Avenue, Toronto Waterfront, Mont Tremblant and Cavendish Beach represent the company’s heritage and remain central to its brand,” adds Di Ioia. “The experience of enjoying BeaverTails treats is often associated with a vacation or outdoor activity.”

Calling the western GTA and Kitchener-Waterloo territories some of Canada’s “most dynamic regions,” Di Ioia says expanding into those regions was an “obvious strategic decision” and the company is proud to be a part of those communities.

In total there are 196 BeaverTails locations in four countries.
