PARIS — Bianca Andreescu’s best career at Roland Garros is over.

Canada’s Andreescu was eliminated from the French Open after losing in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to Ukraine’s Lesia Tsurenko in the third round on Saturday.

In a match that lasted just 62 minutes, Andreescu won just 16 points out of 45 on serve, including 38 percent of her first serve points, compared to 63 percent for Tsurenko, who dominated the match from start to finish.

Andreescu also committed 22 unforced errors and three double faults.

Tsurenko, ranked No. 66 in the world, prevailed at Breakpoints 3-on-3 to confidently secure the first set.

Andreescu, who is ranked 42nd, defeated Tsurenko to open the second set but the 34-year-old Ukrainian recovered quickly and went six games unanswered. Tsurenko will face world No. 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland in the next round.

22-year-old Andreescu of Mississauga, Ontario defeated No. 18 seed Victoria Azarenka and American qualifier Emma Navarro to advance to the third round.

Andreescu was the last remaining Canadian in the singles tournament at Roland Garros after Richmond Hill, Ontario’s Denis Shapovalov lost to world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s game on Friday.

In women’s doubles, Canadians Gabriela Dabrowski and Leylah Fernandez face a showdown in the third round.

Ottawa’s Dabrowski and his Brazilian partner Luisa Stefani take on Fernandez of Laval, Que., and his American teammate Taylor Townsend on Monday.
