The Canadian government has just unveiled a new, state-of-the-art and “most beautifully designed” passport in the world.
The Canadian passport is considered a highly influential and valued travel document around the world. It serves as a way for people to reunite with loved ones, embark on exciting journeys and gain new experiences.
For others, becoming Canadian citizens and joining a multicultural and open-minded community that upholds the principles of democracy, liberty and human rights is the final stage in their immigration process.
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has just launched the new Canadian Bank Note Company passport. It is an all-season pass whose designs change under ultraviolet light.
The recently launched passport has enhanced security features aimed at protecting Canadians’ identities. These features include a polycarbonate data page that uses technology similar to that used in Canadian driver’s licenses.
This new design uses a laser to engrave individuals’ personal information, ensuring longer document life and protection against attempts at tampering or forgery.
In addition, the passport has a number of other innovative features, including a kinegram overlaying the main photo, a custom see-through window displaying a secondary image of the passport holder, a variable laser image, and a temperature-sensitive ink attribute.
